4. Can I take a train service from Singapore to Johor Bahru ?


The KTM shuttle train service that’s operating between Singapore and Johor Bahru during pre-covid period is currently suspended, and will resume service in the near future.
KTM Shuttle Tebrau service will resume on 19th June 2022, after being suspended from 24th March 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic.

5. What do I need to drive from Singapore into Malaysia ?


With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions between Singapore and Malaysia, more Singaporeans can
look forward to their weekend staycation or shopping trip. There are many things you can do in Malaysia that are cheaper than Singapore.

1. If you are renting a vehicle, check with your rental company if it’s approved for travel into Malaysia. Additional submission of documents and/or additional surcharge may be levied for travelling overseas in the rental vehicle. You may also have to purchase additional vehicle insurance coverage for this.

2. Check that you have your VEP ready. It is mandatory for all foreign registered vehicles to apply for a VEP before entering Malaysia, and you can submit your application at the Road Transport Department of Malaysia.

3. Get overseas vehicle insurance coverage, as it is mandatory for all vehicles entering Malaysia.

4. Prepare your Touch N’ Go (TnG) card, by ensuring there is sufficient credit in the card.

5. Last but not least, make sure your vehicle’s fuel tank is at least 3/4 full before exiting Singapore. A fine may be imposed who those who violate this.
